👻 Costumes are cute, but pets may not like them! Be mindful of your pet’s body language when you dress them up. If your pet tolerates or even enjoys costumes, ensure their outfit does not interfere with their vision, hearing, or movement.
🍫 Candy, decorations, and jack-o-lanterns can all pose a threat to curious pets. Be sure to keep your Halloween decor out of reach, unless you find some pet-friendly treats for them to enjoy!
🥷 Dressing up might be a treat for us, but it will trick your pet! You and other people may look, smell, or sound different in costume, so please leave your pets at home in a safe, quiet space instead of taking them out in the stressful street!
🩺 Some pets don’t appreciate frequent door bell rings (speaking of barking and howling!) nor new house visitors. If your furry housemates get easily anxious, try to keep them away from these triggers or consult with your veterinarian regarding anti-anxiety remedies!
