Super Dog Sunday!

Instead of watching the Super Bowl this Sunday, the Amelia Air crew jumped into action to rescue 18 dogs! I don’t know about you, but I’d take a rescue Puppy Bowl over a football game any day of the year!

We piled Dr. Rob Allen’s beautiful Cessna Conquest full of crates and flew down to Reyville, Louisiana. The amazing team at Delta Humane Society was overwhelmed with animals so we loaded up 9 dogs and 9 puppies for a freedom flight to the good life. From Yorkies to Plott Hounds, Chihuahuas to Catahoula puppies, this rescue had it all!

We flew half of the dogs to the Canine Humane Network in Highland, Maryland, and the other half to Animal Allies Rescue Foundation (AARF) in Baltimore. We were amazed at how sweet and loving all the animals were, and felt so grateful to save them from euthanasia.

We had a hard time saying goodbye to our Puppy Bowl contestants after our short flight, but we know they will make the best pets for their lucky families! Enjoy this highlight reel of all the SuperDog Sunday action.
